PREPARATION AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF A MONOPHASIC ZrO2-Y203-Bi203 SOLID ELECTROLYTE

چکیده

A preparation method is described of monophasic y t t r i a s tab i l ized zirconia doped with Bi203. This material is prepared from a homogeneous power which, a f te r pressing, is sintered in a Bi203 atmosphere. The resu l t ing ceramic has a composition of 0.78Zr02-0.206 YO1.5-O.O14Bi01. 5. The grain boundaries are enriched with bismuth. A re la t i ve density of 95% of the theoret ica l one is a t ta in ed at a considerably lower temperature than the bismuth free sample. The e lec t r i ca l conduct iv i t ies of the monophasic Bi doped and the Bi f ree e lec t ro l y te material do not d i f f e r s ign i f i can t l y .
